One of the founders of Highgate Partners, Fraser's approach with clients is to build the confidence and knowledge they need for a successful long-term investment experience. Putting people first, avoiding jargon, and correcting popular misconceptions about how best to participate in financial markets are key aspects of his work.
Fraser is a financial services professional, having worked in a variety of investment roles since 1995. He has worked at Merrill Lynch International in London and UBS Investment Bank in Hong Kong, both roles focusing on institutional clients. Before that he was employed as a legal and policy adviser at UK regulators the Securities and Futures Authority and the Financial Services Authority.
Fraser holds law and economics degrees from the University of Otago where he studied from 1987 to 1991. He qualified as a barrister and solicitor in 1992 but soon turned his focus to financial services where he has spent the majority of his working life. He holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services.
Outside the office, Fraser can often be found on the tennis court or the golf course, or spending time with family including two teenage daughters. Fraser also serves on a number of sporting and community group boards and committees including Tennis Otago, the Leslie Groves Society, and the Port Chalmers Golf Club.
